Well my first art journal entry didn’t turn out as I envisioned. I am happy to get started though. I am excited to keep my art journal for many reasons. To show how far I have come. To try new techniques and products. I am excited to have a place that is just for me to experiment. Most of the stuff I make is for other people. I seem to always have a purpose when I am crafting. It is nice to have a place where I can create something from my head that is just for me.

Before my husband left on his trip he got me an old educational book that he will never use again. It is rather large and has a hard cover. The first thing I did was cover the first two pages in Gesso. Then I sat there forever it seemed trying to think of something amazing to put in it since I was so very excited to start. It sat for quite a bit before I started. I watched one of Marta’s videos where she basically just said “start” creating a background. So that is what I did. Hopefully I can start on a new page today. I am pretty out of it because of the pain meds from my tooth being pulled but maybe that will help my creative process 🙂
